Not every couple feels comfortable in front of a camera to be honest most couples make some comment that they aren’t photogenic or like having their picture taken and that’s completely normal. In fact, one of our recent couples told us before their engagement session that they felt awkward having their photos taken and weren’t sure what to do in front of the lens.

As an engagement photographer on the Gold Coast, we believe the best photographs happen when couples stop worrying about the camera and simply enjoy being together.

That’s why we don’t expect you to arrive knowing how to pose. Instead, we focus on creating a relaxed, fun experience where you can laugh, move, talk and enjoy each other’s company. We’ll offer gentle direction when needed, but we also give couples plenty of space to be themselves.

During this session, we started with simple prompts and plenty of conversation. Gradually, the nerves disappeared. What began as “We’re really awkward in photos” turned into genuine laughter, natural affection and moments that felt completely like them.

Your engagement session shouldn’t feel like a photoshoot you have to perform for. It should feel like a date with a camera quietly documenting it.
